Installation instructions

Download the above disk image, and double-click on it to mount. Browse to the image in Finder.

Double-click the SecretSync Installer package. This will install the executable application images.

Because the application images are installed to the /Applications directory, your privileges will need to elevated. You will need to be a sudoer in order to do this. After the application images are installed, users will not need to elevate privileges to add SecretSync to their profile.

After the application images are installed, SecretSync Manager is launched. It will detect that this is a first install of SecretSync, and step you through configuration.

First, it will allow you to signup or login to obtain your key for SecretSync.

After you've obtained a token from our servers, the next step is to configure the SecretSync directory, point to the Dropbox folder (Dropbox must already be installed), and optionally, specify your own secret passphrase.

By default the SecretSync folder is directly under your profile folder. Anything you put in this folder will get encrypted and added to Dropbox, which will then sync it to your other computers.

The SecretSync Manager can be used to monitor sync activity by SecretSync.
